Asparagus normally signals the beginning of spring to me. The tender stalks bursting with the flavors of garlic and lemon. Simple and fantastic.

- 1 lb of Fresh Asparagus
- 1 tsbp of minced garlic
- 1 Lemon
- 2 tsbp butter for griddling (or you can use Olive oil)
- Salt and Pepper to taste
1. Trim end of asparagus, and rinse well.
2. Slice lemon in half.
3. Assemble all ingredients into a half sheet tray.
Melt 1 tbsp of butter on griddle, spreading evenly, add asparagus and cut lemons flat side down. Using steamer lid cover asparagus and add about a TBS of water. Let steam for about 3 min. Flip asparagus and leave uncovered 3 min. Flip again, add salt and pepper, last TBS of butter and squeeze lemons over top. Return to sheet tray.
